MINUTES OF THE 10-21-2006 MEETING OF THE C.C.A.R.C.

The meeting was called to order at 9:10am by Chuck, N9PMW.

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Minutes of the September meeting were read by Tom, KB9WSL. The minutes were 
approved as presented without additions or corrections.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

None

REPEATER:

Dave, K9DVL, reported that the 147.180 repeater is back on the air. The 
repeater had been down for several days due to technical problems. Dave 
stated he jumpered the exciter in order to get the machine back on the air. 
He noted that there was a mouse nest inside the cabinet for the repeater at 
the Chase Park water tower. He suggested sealing all feedline holes at the 
site and setting out D-con.

Phil, W9LVY  reported there are some problems with the 180 repeater system 
at the EMA site. He also suggested hooking up batteries to keep the remote 
link at EMA running during power failures.


OLD BUSINESS:

Phil asked if there was any word on getting ID badges from the EMA for Club 
members. Chuck advised he had heard nothing from EMA about getting badges 
made. EMA had planned to get badges made for CCARC personnel several months 
ago but then there was a problem with the machine which is used to make the 
badges.

NEW BUSINESS:

Dave, K9DVL, reported that Randy, W9CFI, has a 56 foot tower and a five-band 
HF Quad antenna he would like to donate to the Club. In exchange, he would 
like to get a tax-write-off receipt from the Club. An effort will be made to 
come to an agreement on the value of those items.

November meeting: An e-mail will go out on the remailer to poll members to 
see if the November meeting should be moved due to the Ft .Wayne  Hamfest 
falling on the third weekend of that month. If the meeting is held as 
scheduled…someone will need to keep minutes of the meeting as the Club 
Secretary, Tom , KB9WSL, will be at Ft. Wayne  that
day.

BILLS:

None

50/50:

$ 7.00 dollars raised…winner was Tom, KB9WSL. He donated all of the money 
back to the Club.

Meeting adjourned at 9:36 am.
