Guys and Gals,

I wanted to ditto what Chuck and Phil had written regarding JOTA at Camp
Buffalo on Saturday.
If we get a chance to participate again in the future I will schedule a day
off from work. I only stayed a few hours but had alot of fun. It was cool to
see the scouts faces as they talked to the scouts at Tampa Bay, Florida and
Bangor, Maine.

Chuck and I heard the Satellite on his dual-band HT and K9DVL's Dual-band
"cheap yagi". It made me what to buy a dual-band HT and make my own antenna.
Also, I had a chance to do a little fox-hunting as a Ham from the Kokomo
radio club was showing the scouts how to use an HT and a home-made three
element yagi made from PVC and a metal tape measure. The scouts would RDF
the signal and then used a compass to aid in locating the "fox".

I would urge anyone from the Club to atted next year if the opportunity
comes again. I think the kids and the adults all learned something and had
alot of fun!!!

The permanent station at the Camp was also very nice.

PS.... if I owned a digital camera I would have taken some pictures for
"The Feedline."
