[Ccarc] Astropoint rf power amplifier

Hi there,

Does anyone know anything about an Astropoint RF Power amplifier? It's made 
by Standard Communications Corp.

My Dad, KC9BGK, has a couple of them.

It appears they are an add -on unit to a mobile radio. There is a pig tail 
that comes out of the right side of the unit to connect to a radio and what 
appear to be two mini coax lines that also attach to the radio. on the right 
rear of the unit is an SO-239 and and RCA jack for an external speaker 
connection.

The unit was made in Japan. the only numbers on it are BPW8025013.
