Chuck,
Here is the ARRL answer to my question about Meteor Scatter for Field
Day. It is just another digital mode.
I don't think there is any significant meteor activity expected for
Field Day weekend, but I'll try it anyway during the wee hours on 6 meters.

Hi Tom:

The purpose of the demonstration mode is to show its effectiveness to
provide substantial, reliable communications. While WSJT makes weak
signal contacts possible, the amount of data that could be handled via
meteor scatter is such that it isn't really a useful tool in an
emergency. So WSJT, meteor scatter, and EME contacts are not on the
demonstration mode list.

Thanks and 73

Is Meteor Scatter (WSJT modes) considered a Non-Traditional Mode for
Field Day? Thank you.

/*7.3.10. Non-Traditional Mode Demonstrations*: A maximum of 300 bonus
points (100 points for each demonstration up to three) for setting up a
demonstration of a non-traditional mode of amateur radio communications.
This includes modes such as APRS, ATV, and SSTV. *Available to Classes
A, B, and F.*/
