Hi everyone, and welcome to the July 4th holiday week! I'm writing this really for Anna KC9IDO because she's doing something else and wanted me to help her out.
Now that we're settling back into things and enjoying the summer weather it's time to get all the incriminating evid.....uhhhh I mean Field Day pictures together for the scrapbook. I've seen some already that I think Tom KB9VMW sent me. In that case there were a few that could be construed as "incriminating" (Thanks Mike WZ9Z) and it's now proven that I can't stay up ALL 24+ hours of Field Day. That said it's time to pool our pictures so Anna KC9IDO can get them together, printed and in the scrapbook. Not to mention we can get them cataloged and uploaded to the website so it's updated with the latest Field Day pictures, yet another project that's in the works.
Don't forget, we've got raffle tickets on sale!!!!! Two different raffles!!! The normal raffle ticket are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. There is a second raffle this year for a Yaesu FT-757 and the tickets for it are $5.00 each. These are the raffle tickets that are normally for sale before and on Field Day but with the much needed rain we had we postponed the raffle sale and drawing until the cookout later this summer. That said, so far I've received nothing regarding when anyone thinks there should be a cookout or where for that matter.
As I said before I'm only helping Anna out so all requests for raffle tickets need to go to her so she can make the arrangements for you. If I get requests I will fwd the information to her and she'll get back with you. Basically what I'm saying is I did Field Day and lived through it. At this point this is still TECHNICALLY part of it however this is the part that Rae N9YFW is usually in charge of. Anna is helping him because he's on vacation this week. (Keep this in mind so you can talk about Rae on the repeater this week, hi ) I'm helping get the general logistics and transportation of stuff figured out. (read: Rae and Anna are mostly the brains, I'm the labor, hi )
If anyone has any questions, concerns or special requests ya'll know where to find us. Have a great day!!!
