Everyone,

I can't even begin to say thank you to everyone as many times as it would take to cover everything. Friday night's testing was the most busy we've seen in years but it was expected with the rule change. We tested 10 people Friday night and upgraded 9. The breakdown works to 1 new Technician and 8 new Generals. We even had a few of the brand new Generals test for Extra. Unfortunately we didn't have anyone upgrading two levels or any new Extras, but the ones taking that Extra test got a good feel of what's needed to get there. I tried to get to shake everyone's hand and offer congratulations to everyone that did upgrade but I think I missed a few. I sincerely appologize if I did miss taking that opportunity, it was just because it was so busy. As far as upgrades and new licensees go let me publically congratulate the following hams.

Harry Burkhart K9HFC to General
Michael Kelly KB9ZBF to General, I heard you on the repeater last night shortly after 10PM but I had only one eye open.
Mark Babb KC9CRP to General
Tom Denton KB9VMW to General
Tom Murray KB9WSL to General
David Cubel KC9HIT to General
Larry Murray KC9BGK to General
John Acuff to Technician
Anna Hendrickson KC9IDO to General

I took the opportunity to include the "non member" hams and new licensees that I had email addresses for. I hope to see you again for club membership information or perhaps further testing. As stated it was busy, the copier was running overtime, paperwork was flying everywhere, testing and grading every which way including loose and as my daughter Marisa said of field day, I had more fun than people should be allowed to have. I have to agree whole heartedly with her statement regarding the testing.
Pending the notification from W5YI I have officially taken over the testing and plan on changing the date. I will send out info on the remailer as well as mention it on the repeater and announce the change on the Thursday evening net. Given the high demand for testing at this time I also plan on having some testing in between the regular sessions to help get people upgraded as well as any new hams that wish to test. Stay tuned for that announcement! If anyone has any questions or wants to talk about testing or anything else for that matter give me a call on the repeater, phone or email.
Thank you all again that tested as well as the examiners. Have a great day!!

73,
