REPEATER:

Dave, K9DVL, reported that the antenna on the Chase Park water tower for the
147.180 repeater is leaning. Apparently there is a problem with the antenna
itself or the mounting bracket. It is leaning at about a 60-degree angle
following a storm on Tuesday 5-15-2007. Chuck, N9PMW, said a work session
will be needed to make repairs or replace the antenna. A work session will
be set as soon as possible.

FIELD DAY:

Chuck, N9PMW, has an amplifier and manual but it has not been tested yet.
He also reported one antenna rotator has been repaired, but the control
cable for the second rotator has not been located. Club Members are asked to
check their QTH to see if the control cable was accidentally misplaced. The
missing control cable is an 8 pin cable for the Alliance antenna rotator.
Chuck also reported he still needs to get another amp from Todd, N9PVQ.

Chuck also reported that a Proclamation is being worked on for Field Day by
Logansport Mayor Mike Fincher and his Secretary. T-shirts from Field Day
have been purchased. Chuck is still working on getting Logo’s on them.

Chuck reminded everyone alot of help will be needed for Field Day which is
only a month away.

None.

NEW BUSINESS:

The FeedLine Newsletter has been revived. FeedLine Editor and Publisher Ed
Norris, K9PSR, did an excellent job on the Summer 2007 edition, which

him. If you have a topic you would like to see included in the News Letter
be sure to contact Ed.

Alvin Beckman, Cass County EMA Director spoke to the Club regarding a
project he is working on to get weather alert radios into the hands of area
residents. He said Midland Radio has a program where they partner with media
outlets and local organizations. The weather alert radios are provided to
the sponsoring agencies and sold at a reduced price to the public. Money
raised then benefit’s the local group or organization. Alvin would like to
see if the CASS-WHITE County Red Cross could do the program. He is still
working out the details and will keep the Club posted.

GOOD OF THE CLUB:

EMA Director Alvin Beckman was asked if the Club and beginning working in
the EMA Comm room . He said he saw no reason the Club could not begin
working in the room. He advised some of the electrical outlets still need
power run to them and some computer cabling still needs to be installed.

Alvin also invited Chuck, N9PMW, to attend an EMA meeting. Beckman is going
to revise SOP’s regarding severe weather reporting and communications.
Alvin said Chuck was a big help during the winter storm, by helping EMA with
radio traffic and taking phone calls. The changes may open the door to EMA
and the Club working more closely together with regard to communications
needs.

Bob, K9AWH, also mentioned that he thought the 145.230 repeater should have
a battery back-up system installed. Chuck said a work session would be
