Greetings ya'll,

Welcome to November and the cooler temperatures. Dave K9DVL told me the other day that he's not talking about how cold it is yet because there will be more days colder than these before it gets warm again. I tend to agree and that's not a half bad plan to be happy with the cooler temps we're having now. Meanwhile back at the point, as I stated in the October meeting I would not be present for the November meeting because of the Fort Wayne Hamfest and Computer Expo. I enjoy this particular hamfest and this time being the new EC I figure it's probably a good idea to show my face to the Section EC and or the SM if for no better reason than make myself recognizable by face as well as call in the future. Tony the section EC is conducting a forum on emergency communications that I will be attending and I encourage anyone that will be at the hamfest and interested in ARES and or emcomm to attend this forum.
Ok again, MEANWHILE back at the point the hamfest is the 17th and 18th. Obviously this conflicts with our meeting as noted by my statement in the last paragraph as well as the October meeting. I also have found that the EMA building will be occupied the same weekend. Actually it will be in use this weekend the 8th and 9th as well as the 17th and 18th for a HazMat class. At this point I'm only passing on information about the meeting location as well as the dates. Since I will not be here I'm not making any suggestions or comments about where or whether to have a meeting or not. I don't feel right making policy that I don't have to live with or be affected by. I'll leave that up to the folks that it will be affected by, anyone attending the meeting in November. All I ask is that if a quorum is met and a meeting is held that minutes be taken since I'm pretty sure Tom KB9WSL will also be in Ft Wayne.
If anyone has any quesitions, concerns or whatever, give me a call, stop by, talk to me on the air, or send me an email I'm easily accessable. Hope everyone is having a great day!!
