NCTA, TiVo Introduce External Adapter

NCTA President & CEO Kyle McSlarrow and TiVo President & CEO Tom Rogers 
have released a joint statement announcing that next year cable 
operators will introduce an external adapter enabling TiVo digital video 
recorders using CableCards to access switched digital cable channels 
without a set-top box. According to the statement, specifications for 
the interface were developed in discussions among cable operators, 
CableLabs, TiVo and other cable vendors.
