2007 SKYWARN Recognition Day
 (November 30, 7
pm EST to December 1, 7 pm EST)
SKYWARN Recognition
Day was
developed in 1999 by the National Weather Service and the American
Radio Relay
League. It celebrates the contributions that volunteer SKYWARN radio
operators
make to the National Weather Service. During the day SKYWARN operators
visit
NWS offices and contact other radio operators across the world.
WX9IWX, National Weather
Service
Northern Indiana’s amateur radio station, will once again be
participating
through the entire event. Contact us on 2/10/15/20/40/80m via PHONE and
PSK-31.
Look for around 100 registered offices to participate again this year,
including
our friends at the Prairie Storm Prediction Center in Winnipeg and the
National
Hurricane Center, WX4NHC.

note: At this time, the SRD website is several weeks behind in

includes the participant list, including WX9IWX's information. There
will be a major update
posted to the SRD site later this week.

mentioned on
page 64 under the Public Service Section. SRD is also mentioned as a
special
event on the ARRL’s special events calendar, http://www.arrl.org/contests/spev.html.
