Morning everyone,

As stated in the last email you're all aware of the tower work that was done over the weekend. Phil <and the rest of us> is/are welcoming reports to be able to document and quantify any improvements. This will help us all plan for more improvements and give us a baseline of sorts to see problems in the future.
Anyway the point to this email is to report that I've done some work on the website. Brandon KC9LVB designed the new home page giving things a new look and in turn simplifying things a bit. Any additional ideas will be welcome to help the look and or any updates that are needing correction. I haven't done any work with the meeting minutes and will see what I can do with that. I knew it was a pretty big task to take this over to update things but I never envisioned this. The coordination alone is enough to make ones head spin in little bitty circles. Anyway, Kyle hats off to you for the years you've done this, and Kyle yes I will need the minutes zipped and so forth as you stated in an email to me in the recent past. Back to the point, I think I've got most everything updated and so forth and again if you see any oopsies please let me know.
Having the ability to take pictures digitally and down load them almost instantaneously helped greatly in the tower project and in turn helped get them on the website in record time. Since we started doing this two years ago sending a camera up helped the ground crew see what the guy on top is seeing. This assists in making sure the whole idea gets transmitted. Some things you can describe with words but the visual medium has helped us in ways we can't imagine. I have stated that using this tool helps make the ground crew even more involved in that I can do what they want with my hands but using their brain power. We had two cameras and four laptops at the tower Saturday and enough flash drives to shake a stick at. In turn we were able to share the pictures and have complete sets right away instead of having to wait to email them to one another and so forth. Hats off to the camera crew, taking the great shots and technology for giving us the ability to share those pictures quickly.
Once again let me know of updates, wishes, wants, thoughts, opinions, gripes or whatever regarding the website and we'll see what we can do to fix stuff. Hope everyone's day is going well and hope to hear you on the repeater!!!
