Friday night Sept 7 I went to EMA and removed the link transmitter and
took it home with me. On Saturday I set it up on my work bench, and pulled
the crystal and put it into another Moxy radio. I tuned that one up and
got
over 14 watts out.  I backed it off to 5 watts Then I put the crystal into
another Moxy and got 4.5  watts out.  I left that setting alone.
Then I worked on the original radio and found one variable capacitor was
tuned right on the edge of working or not working.  So I retuned it so it
was not on edge. Hopefully that will take care of the intermittent
operation of the link for the PL receiver at EMA.
    Now we have 2 working spare radios. I won't have time to put them back
into service until Sunday evening or Monday evening. I will put the
original radio back in service to test it to see if the intermittent
is really fixed.
