Here are the Minutes of the 2-16-2008 CCARC meeting.


  MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 16th, 2008 MEETING OF THE C.C.A.R.C.


The meeting was called to order at 9:02 am by Chuck, N9PMW.

SECRETARY‘S REPORT:

Minutes of the January 26th,2008 meeting were read by Tom, KB9WSL. The minutes were approved as presented without additions or corrections.

TREASURER’S REPORT:

None.

REPEATER:

It was reported that the 147.180 repeater is still operating on low power. Work on the amplifier is planned. The 145.230 repeater is operating fine and is at full power.

ARES/RACES:

Chuck, N9PMW, reported that the FEMA officials have left Cass County in reference to the flooding assistance. 

He reminded everyone that the storm spotter training put on by the National Weather Service will be held February 28th at 2pm and 7pm at the Cass County EMA building. The 7 pm class is almost full, and it was suggested those still interested try to make the afternoon session. There is a sign-up sheet in the EMA office.

OLD BUSINESS:

Chuck reported that four people would be needed to help set-up and tear down at the Peru Ham-Fest in April. The CCARC would not make any money as a co-sponsor the first year, but would get a cut of the proceeds the second year, if the club participates. There was general consensus that the Club would help at the event this year. There was also discussion about having a Club table at the event, so the Club and it’s members could sell items and equipment. A motion was made by K9DVL and seconded by K9AWH to participate in the event. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

None.

GOOD OF THE CLUB:

Congratulations were offered to Anna Hendrickson, and Todd Ervin for upgrading….Anna, KC9IDO, from General to Extra, and Todd From Technician to General. Also, congratulations to John Flint, KC9WVQ for getting his Technician license.

The LaPorte Ham-fest is February 23rd, 2008.

50/50:

$12.00 raised. Winner was Dan, KV9N.

Meeting adjourned at 9:25 am.
