Don't forget the Net tonight on 145.010 at 8 PM. Unconnected converse
mode.

Have your tnc or software MONITOR settings so you can see all the
stations that you can receive.

Then set your UNPROTO settings to digi through your nearest and highest
station. Then other stations will be able to see your signal if they
can receive the digi's signal.

You could use the following as an example: UNPROTO VIA KC9ANF,N9BAV.
This shows you digi'ing your signal in unconnected mode only through
KC9ANF in Columbia City and N9BAV in Goshen, if either can receive you
that is. You can leave this command on as it will only work when in
unconnected mode. It will also digi your ID and Beacon if you have then
on, which is a good idea anyway so people can see your station even
when it isn't manned. You can still connect to another station at
anytime using your connect command procedures as you would
 normally.

You can add others if you need to in addition to these by simply adding
a comma for most software and tnc's after each digi callsign. But if
not needed then don't. As it only adds more transmissions to the
network.

Whitley Co. EOC/RACES Station KC9ANF is being used here locally in
Columbia City presently 50W at 140', normally 50W at 85'. N9BAV is at
Goshen ARC at Goshen College around 85'. KC9ANF does not have set in
it's unproto command to digi to N9BAV nor is N9BAV set to digi through
KC9ANF. Be nice if each of these would make this change in their
settings? How about it folks?

There is no need to connect to any station when doing unconnected
converse mode then as it will digi your signal if you have a digi
station set in your unproto command.
