IndianaWeatherOnline.com Severe Weather Alert
Issued on March 30th, 2008 at 2:30 PM by Brandon Redmond

First of all, I want to encourage everyone to visit our two new sites. LetsTalkWeather.net is a bulletin board system where you can discuss anything that is on your mind. The weather, politics, local events, anything. So feel free to visit the forums and sign up and start posting.

Second of all, I have created another site that is called the Midwest Weather Alliance. We are in the process of compiling a list of affiliates of unique weather sites across the Midwest. You will be able to visit the Midwest Weather Alliance site and find websites with unique forecasts for specific areas all over the Midwest. This website will hopefully allow you to find all kinds of weather information for areas throughout the Midwest. The site is brand new and many more features will be coming soon. To visit, go to www.MidwestWeatherAlliance.com
Now, onto the weather.

A significant weather system is going to impact the area tonight and tomorrow. A warm front will lift across the area tonight and some thunderstorms will be possible. A few strong storms will be possible with large hail and heavy rainfall being the main threats.

We will get a temporary break tomorrow as the state of Indiana and all of Western Ohio will be located in the warm sector. Temperatures will be very mild, but the warm temperatures will create an unstable atmosphere. Thunderstorms will probably hold off until tomorrow evening as lift and the cold front get closer to the state.

There will be two threats from severe weather tomorrow. The first will be with the warm front which will be sitting near the Indiana and Michigan line. If
thunderstorms develop on Monday Afternoon along the warm front, tornadoes will definitely be a possibility, especially along and North of a line from Lafayette to Fort Wayne.

Round number two will develop along the cold front tomorrow night. The front will spread Southeast across the state of Indiana and into Ohio late tomorrow night and into early Tuesday Morning. Damaging winds in the form of a squall line will be very likely and heavy rain will remain a possibility.

So here is a wrap up on what I am expecting:
Today: Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms with hail & heavy rainfall
Monday Afternoon: Tornadic thunderstorms possible across Northern Indiana
Monday Evening: Damaging winds along a squall line in Western Indiana
Monday Night: Damaging winds along a squall line in Central & Southern Indiana
Late Mon. PM/Tues AM: Damaging winds along a squall line in Eastern Indiana
Early Tuesday Morning: Damaging winds along a squall
 line in Western Ohio

Please stay tuned to IndianaWeatherOnline.com and to join in the weather discussion, please visit www.LetsTalkWeather.net
