One of the Deputies at the Sheriffs Dept here has a Kenwood 450s HF rig for sale along with an Astron 35 amp power supply. The kenwood is a multi-mode HF only Transceiver. It has the built in antenna tuner and the optional SSB filter installed. No CW filter. Radio is in very good condition. Includes manual, R & L sales receipt (purchased in 1994) and was owned by Maurice Kessler (SK) originally lived in Rochester, then moved to Retirement home in North Manchester,IN. I checked out the radio on the air at my QTH...made SSB contacts in Missouri, Tennessee, Venezuela, and Argentina..in South America...on 20 and 40 meters. Radio puts out 100 watts CW,SSB, and 40 watts AM. When I removed the covers on this radio and the inside was spotless...no dust at all....it appears to be very well cared for. All buttons, switches and knobs are intact and functional, non appear to be loose or damaged. The officer is a non-ham and would like to sell the radio and power supply as a package. I believe he is asking $700 for the package...but would likely be willing to come down some. I have priced this particular model radio on ebay and they go from $350 to $700 dollars when I checked a couple of weeks ago. The $350 dollar rig on ebay was pretty rough looking (FYI)...the $700 dollar rig on ebay was in excellent cosmetic condition as is the rig the officer is trying to sell.
