Radio stations should follow the bidding for the Weather Channel.

That’s
because plenty of stations use the Weather Channel services, and it
even inspired the name of a RADAR-rated sales network from Jones
MediaAmerica. What’s the latest on the sale? Looks like there’s a joint
bid from NBC Universal and the Blackstone Group, perhaps bidding
against Time Warner. Bidding is apparently above $3 billion – less than
the $5 billion that owner Landmark Communications wanted. It's worth
noting that NBC already has a meteorological service named “Weather
Plus” that’s often used on digital TV channels and cable channels.
Would it seek to merge “Plus” with the Weather Channel?
